The Challenge

Crossing the wadi bed by open cut would have meant working within the channel, with both environmental exposure and a hard weather window before seasonal flow returned.

Our Approach

The bore was profiled eight metres beneath the deepest point of the channel, entering and exiting well outside the flood extent so no plant ever entered the watercourse. The programme was sequenced to complete the pull-back ahead of the seasonal window.

The Outcome

Completed in 29 days with the channel left entirely undisturbed and the pipeline tied in before the first seasonal flow.
